Quanzhou - the Beginning of the Silk Road of the Sea A Photo Exhibit by Chen Shizhe - Opening
Chen ShizheaEURTMs photography captures the diverse local flavor of Quanzhou an ancient port city in Fujian Province. The artist was born in September 1948. In his younger days he practiced violin stage design singing and scriptwriting for theatrical plays. Also he has made appearances on television. In 1981 he began learning photography and became a member of the Chinese Photographic Society. He is now the vice president of the Quanzhou Huaguang Institute of Photography and Art. During the 2008 Beijing Olympics he was assigned to photograph Cai GuoqiangaEURTMs spectacular fireworks display. He has also published numerous collections of photography.
